In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all mobile medical equipment used in our facilities.   1. Perform regular maintenance and calibration of all mobile medical equipment used in BJC HealthCare facilities.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
  3. Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.
  4. Ensure that all mobile medical equipment is in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure equipment is functioning properly and meets patient care needs.
  6. Stay up-to-date on new technologies and advancements in the field of mobile medical equipment.
  7. Communicate effectively with department managers and staff regarding equipment maintenance and repair schedules.
  8. Ensure that all equipment is safe and ready for use by patients and healthcare staff.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  10. Respond promptly to urgent equipment repair requests and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  11. Provide on-call support as needed for emergency equipment repairs.
  12. Train new technicians and assist in the development of training materials for mobile medical equipment.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures when working with equipment.
  14. Continuously monitor and assess equipment performance and make recommendations for upgrades or replacements as needed.
  15. Foster a positive and professional working relationship with coworkers and other healthcare professionals.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree Or Equivalent Training In Biomedical Equipment Technology Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Repairing And Maintaining Medical Equipment In A Clinical Environment.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Electronic And Mechanical Systems, Including Troubleshooting And Diagnostic Skills.

  • Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals And Schematics.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
