Medical Coder

BJC HealthCare is seeking an experienced Medical Coder to join our team! As a Medical Coder, you will be responsible for reviewing and coding medical records. You’ll use your expertise to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the coding process. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has excellent communication skills.To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of two years of medical coding experience. You must also have a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders. Responsibilities for this role include:

1. Reviewing and coding medical records using ICD-10 standards
2. Ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the coding process
3. Maintaining accurate records and documentation
4. Providing feedback and recommendations to management for process improvements
5. Collaborating with healthcare professionals in the coding process
6. Answering coding questions from clinicians and other staff members
7. Staying current with coding regulations and changes
8. Attending continuing education courses to stay up to date on coding standards
