If you have the qualifications we require and are looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, we invite you to apply today!Qualifications:• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)• At least 2 years of related experience in medical coding and/or health information management• In-depth knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis coding• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems• Excellent computer and data entry skills• Ability to work independently and in a team setting• Ability to handle large volumes of data quickly and accurately• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
Responsibilities:
- Utilize ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems to accurately assign codes to medical diagnoses.
- Analyze health records and reports to ensure codes assigned are accurate and up-to-date with best practices and coding standards.
- Monitor changes in coding regulations and update coding protocols as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Work collaboratively with other medical coders and healthcare professionals.
- Enter patient data into coding systems accurately and quickly.
- Provide guidance and support to other members of the coding team.
- Research coding questions and provide appropriate answers.
- Participate in coding workshops, conferences, and other educational activities.
