  1. Provide exceptional care and support to patients undergoing cancer treatment, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  2. Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assist in the delivery of radiation oncology treatments.
  3. Administer medications and assist with procedures as directed by physicians.
  4. Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress.
  5. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, potential side effects, and self-care techniques.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  7. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  8. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing clear and concise information.
  10. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve knowledge and skills.
  11. Assist with scheduling appointments, obtaining authorizations, and completing other administrative tasks as needed.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  13. Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering compassionate care and making a positive impact on the lives of cancer patients.
  14. Adhere to all BJC HealthCare policies, procedures, and standards of practice.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program Or Equivalent Education And Training.

  • Certification As A Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma).

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Radiation Oncology.

  • Knowledge Of Radiation Oncology Procedures, Terminology, And Equipment.

  • Ability To Accurately Document Patient Information And Maintain Confidentiality In Accordance With Hipaa Regulations.
