  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the food service department, ensuring that all tasks and responsibilities are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  2. Train, supervise, and schedule a team of food service workers to ensure proper coverage and adherence to departmental standards.
  3. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food and supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure adequate stock and minimize waste.
  4. Ensure that all food preparation and service areas are clean, organized, and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  5. Collaborate with dietitians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement menus that meet patients' nutritional needs and dietary restrictions.
  6. Monitor and maintain equipment and facilities, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
  7. Maintain accurate records and documentation of food service activities, including meal counts, inventory levels, and any incidents or complaints.
  8. Foster a positive and respectful work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
  9. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in food service, implementing new ideas and techniques to improve the overall dining experience for patients and their families.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager or other members of the leadership team.
