
Health Information Technician
BJC HealthCare is seeking an experienced Health Information Technician to join our team. This position plays a vital role in helping us to ensure our health records are accurately and timely entered into our electronic health record system. The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong technical and organizational skills, as well as an understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Enter patient health information accurately and timely into the electronic health record system.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and accuracy of medical records.
- Analyze and interpret medical records for data entry accuracy.
- Research and verify accuracy of patient health information.
- Utilize standard medical terminology in data entry.
- Document and audit health records for accuracy and completeness.
- Generate reports as needed for quality assurance.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy of data entered.
- Respond to inquiries and requests for health information.
- Follow established guidelines and procedures for data entry.
