
Health Information Technician

This individual will be responsible for the organization, integrity, and security of patient health information. As a member of our Health Information Services team, the Health Information Technician will be part of a collaborative and innovative environment where you can make a real impact.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess an Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology or a related field. Additionally, you will need to have a minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and have excellent problem-solving skills. In addition, they will have a strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding. Responsibilities: • Manage the organization, integrity, and security of patient health information. • Utilize medical terminology and coding to process patient information. • Maintain a high level of accuracy and detail when entering patient information into the system. • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that all patient information is organized and up-to-date. • Follow strict HIPAA regulations when handling patient information. • Troubleshoot any issues that arise with patient information. • Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families. • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. • Identify opportunities to improve workflow and processes. • Stay current on the latest advancements in healthcare technology.
