
Health Information Technician

The successful candidate will need to have an Associate degree in Health Information Technology or a related field, plus at least two years of experience in the field. Additionally, great communication skills, an eye for detail, and strong organizational skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately code and enter patient health information into electronic databases
- Maintain patient records in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- Respond to requests for patient information from other medical professionals
- Monitor and update patient information on a daily basis
- Create and maintain charts, documents, and other information related to patient care
- Perform data entry tasks using Health Information Technology (HIT) systems
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient records
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of patient records
- Assist in the development and implementation of health information policies and procedures
- Assist in the training of new health information staff
- Monitor and review audit reports for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain current knowledge of coding and reimbursement systems, as well as changes in healthcare regulations and standards
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology
High School Diploma Or Ged
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills
Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting
Familiarity With Icd- Coding System
Proficiency With Microsoft Office Suite
Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills
Ability To Maintain Confidentiality Of Patient Information
