
Health Information Technician
BJC HealthCare seeks a Health Information Technician to provide technical and administrative support to our Health Information Management team. The successful candidate will possess excellent computer, communication, and organizational skills and be able to work within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with attention to detail. If you have experience in medical records and you are looking for an opportunity to contribute to an organization dedicated to providing quality healthcare to the community, this might be the perfect role for you!The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of experience in a medical records or health information management setting. Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and filing processes is preferred. An Associate's degree in Health Information Technology, or a related field is a plus. Exceptional customer service skills, the ability to multitask, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential for this position.
Responsibilities: • Provide technical and administrative support to the Health Information Management team • Enter data into the medical records system accurately and in a timely manner • Assist with filing, coding, and auditing of medical records • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers • Ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained • Ensure accuracy of all records and data • Monitor system reports for accuracy and completeness • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Health Information Management team
• A Minimum Of Year Of Health Information Management Experience
• Ahs Or Rhit Certification
• Knowledge Of Icd- And Cpt Coding Systems
• Proficiency In Microsoft Office Applications
• Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills
• Ability To Work Independently And Also Collaboratively In A Team
• Demonstrated Ability To Manage Multiple Projects
