Floral Designer

1. Design and create beautiful floral arrangements for various areas within BJC HealthCare facilities, including patient rooms, waiting areas, and common spaces.
2. Work closely with hospital staff and patients to understand their preferences and needs, and incorporate them into the floral designs.
3. Maintain a high level of creativity and innovation, bringing fresh ideas to each arrangement to continually enhance the healing environment of the facilities.
4. Source and select the freshest and highest quality flowers and materials to ensure the best possible presentation.
5. Keep track of inventory and supplies, and order new materials as needed to maintain a well-stocked floral department.
6. Follow and adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.
7. Collaborate with other members of the BJC HealthCare team, including event planners and decorators, to create cohesive and visually appealing displays for special occasions and events.
8. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the floral department, including cleaning work stations and equipment, and disposing of waste properly.
9. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff, responding to their requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
10. Stay up-to-date with current trends and techniques in floral design and incorporate them into daily work to ensure a modern and relevant aesthetic.
11. Occasionally assist with setting up and decorating for events and ceremonies, as needed.
12. Assist with training and mentoring new floral department team members.
13. Follow all BJC HealthCare policies and procedures, including confidentiality and ethical guidelines.
