Job Description

At BJC HealthCare, we are looking for an Exercise Physiologist to join our team and provide comprehensive care to our patients. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing exercise programs to improve physical and mental health. You’ll also work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess the needs of patients. The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field, a minimum of two years of experience in Exercise Physiology, and a certification from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable individual who is committed to helping our patients live healthier lives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop comprehensive exercise programs tailored to the individual needs of the patient.
  2. Monitor patient progress throughout their exercise program and adjust program as needed.
  3. Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess patient needs.
  4. Educate patients on the benefits of exercise and proper form.
  5. Implement and oversee safety protocols to ensure the safety of all patients.
  6. Maintain documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
  7. Keep up-to-date with the latest research in exercise physiology and best practices.
  8. Assist in other areas of the medical facility as needed.
