  1. Perform endoscopy procedures under the supervision of a physician or RN.
  2. Prepare and maintain endoscopy equipment and supplies.
  3. Assist with patient positioning and monitoring during procedures.
  4. Provide support to the physician during the procedure, including passing instruments and handling specimens.
  5. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of procedures and patient information.
  6. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  7. Monitor and report any changes in patient condition during and after procedures.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  9. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  10. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during procedures.
  11. Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  14. Attend meetings and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

  • Certified Endoscopy Technician: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Valid Certification As An Endoscopy Technician, Demonstrating Their Knowledge And Skills In The Field.

  • Experience With Endoscopy Procedures: Bjc Healthcare Is Looking For Candidates Who Have Previous Experience In Performing Endoscopy Procedures, Including Knowledge Of Various Tools And Equipment Used.

  • Knowledge Of Infection Control Practices: As An Endoscopy Technician, It Is Essential To Have A Thorough Understanding Of Infection Control Practices And Protocols To Ensure The Safety Of Patients And Staff.
