  1. Provide safe and efficient care to patients in the Emergency Department, utilizing critical thinking skills and evidence-based practices.
  2. Assess patient needs and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
  3. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to established policies and protocols.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress, including vital signs, symptoms, and response to interventions.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a collaborative and patient-centered approach to care.
  6. Respond quickly and appropriately to emergent situations, demonstrating proficiency in emergency protocols and interventions.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  8. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, including documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  9. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in emergency care.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare providers and community resources to coordinate continuity of care for patients after discharge.
  11. Serve as a patient advocate, promoting patient rights and ensuring that their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
  12. Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced staff, providing guidance and support to promote professional growth and development.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with data collection and analysis to improve patient outcomes.
  14. Adhere to BJC HealthCare's mission, values, and ethical standards in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bls, Acls, And Pals Certifications.

  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Missouri.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Emergency Department Or Critical Care Setting.

  • Strong Critical Thinking And Assessment Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Well Under Pressure And In A Fast-Paced Environment.
