Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled EEG/Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our team. As an EEG/Neurodiagnostic Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders by performing diagnostic tests and procedures.   1. Conduct diagnostic testing and procedures for patients with neurological disorders, including EEGs, EMGs, and nerve conduction studies.
  2. Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to them, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
  3. Operate specialized equipment and software to record and analyze brain and nerve activity.
  4. Monitor patients during procedures and make adjustments as needed to ensure accurate readings.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results and patient information.
  6. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results and develop treatment plans.
  7. Follow strict safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
  8. Keep up-to-date on current research and advancements in neurodiagnostic techniques and technology.
  9. Train and supervise less experienced technologists and students on proper procedures and equipment operation.
  10. Provide exceptional patient care by maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor at all times.
  11. Adhere to all hospital and department policies, procedures, and regulations.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success and growth of the department.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of job performance.
  14. Attend continuing education and training opportunities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  15. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Neuroscience, Biology, Or Healthcare Technology.

  • Certification As A Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.eeg.t) Through The American Board Of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (Abem).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Clinical Experience In Performing Electroencephalograms (Eegs) And Other Neurodiagnostic Procedures.

  • Knowledge And Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining Eeg Equipment, As Well As Understanding Of Neurophysiology And Neurological Disorders.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Fast-Paced Healthcare Environment.
