As an EEG/Neurodiagnostic Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and techniques.   1. Perform EEG and neurodiagnostic procedures on patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  2. Operate and maintain specialized equipment used in EEG and neurodiagnostic procedures.
  3. Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  4. Accurately record and analyze data obtained from EEG and neurodiagnostic procedures.
  5. Collaborate with physicians to provide accurate and timely interpretation of test results.
  6. Educate patients and their families about the procedures and answer any questions they may have.
  7. Maintain patient records and ensure their confidentiality.
  8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
  9. Keep current with advancements in neurodiagnostic technology and techniques.
  10. Assist in the training and supervision of new EEG/Neurodiagnostic Technologists.
  11. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to quality assurance standards.
  14. Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of BJC HealthCare in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: A Minimum Of A Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.eeg.t) Certification From The American Board Of Registration Of Electroencephalographic And Evoked Potential Technologists (Abret) Is Required.

  • Experience: At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Performing Eeg And Other Neurodiagnostic Procedures In A Clinical Setting Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Neuroanatomy And Physiology: A Thorough Understanding Of The Central And Peripheral Nervous System, Including Anatomy And Physiology, Is Essential For Accurately Interpreting And Reporting Eeg Results.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting Neurodiagnostic Equipment, Including Eeg Machines, Evoked Potential Machines, And Nerve Conduction Equipment, Is Necessary For This Role.

  • Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Colleagues, And Medical Staff Is Crucial For The Role Of An Eeg/Neurodiagnostic Technologist. This Includes Providing Patient Education, Maintaining Accurate Records, And Collaborating With Other Healthcare Professionals.
