1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the environmental services department, including but not limited to cleaning, housekeeping, waste management, and pest control.
2. Develop and implement policies and procedures for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
3. Plan and manage the department budget, including forecasting and monitoring expenses, to ensure effective and efficient use of resources.
4. Recruit, train, and supervise a team of environmental services staff, providing guidance, feedback, and performance evaluations to ensure a high level of service delivery.
5. Collaborate with other departments and managers to identify and address environmental issues and implement solutions to maintain a safe and clean environment.
6. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely procurement and appropriate usage.
7. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards, and take corrective actions as needed.
8. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products and services.
9. Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in environmental services and implement them as appropriate.
10. Act as a liaison between the environmental services department and other departments, addressing any concerns or issues related to environmental services.
11. Maintain accurate records and reports of department activities, including staffing, budget, and performance metrics.
12. Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and customer service excellence within the environmental services department.
13. Handle any escalated issues or complaints related to environmental services, working towards timely resolution and ensuring customer satisfaction.
14. Participate in meetings, trainings, and conferences as necessary to stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
15. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and implement new processes or procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the environmental services department.
