  1. Greet and welcome all visitors to BJC HealthCare facilities with a warm and friendly attitude.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Serve as a resource for patients and their families, providing information about hospital services, amenities, and policies.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized concierge desk, ensuring that all necessary materials and supplies are readily available.
  5. Assist with wayfinding and escorting patients and visitors to their desired locations within the facility.
  6. Handle incoming phone calls, directing them to the appropriate departments or individuals.
  7. Communicate effectively with coworkers and other departments to resolve any issues or concerns.
  8. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive information.
  9. Participate in training and education programs to stay updated on hospital services, policies, and procedures.
  10. Continuously strive to improve the patient and visitor experience by gathering feedback and making suggestions for improvement.
  11. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of operations at the concierge desk.
  12. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude at all times, serving as a representative of BJC HealthCare.
  13. Adhere to all safety and security protocols to ensure the well-being of patients, visitors, and staff.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication Skills: A Concierge Desk Representative At Bjc Healthcare Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, In Order To Effectively Interact With Patients, Visitors, And Staff Members. This Includes The Ability To Listen Actively, Speak Clearly And Concisely, And Convey Information In A Professional And Friendly Manner.

  • Strong Customer Service Experience: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Customer Service Position, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. This Experience Should Demonstrate A Commitment To Providing Exceptional Service And Resolving Customer Concerns In A Timely And Efficient Manner.

  • Organizational Skills: A Concierge Desk Representative Must Have Strong Organizational Skills In Order To Manage Multiple Tasks And Priorities In A Fast-Paced Environment. This Includes The Ability To Prioritize Tasks, Manage Time Effectively, And Maintain Accurate Records And Documentation.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations: Bjc Healthcare Is Committed To Providing High-Quality And Compliant Healthcare Services. As Such, Candidates For This Role Should Have A Basic Understanding Of Healthcare Regulations And Compliance Requirements, Including Hipaa, Osha, And Other Relevant Laws And Regulations.

  • Team Player: The Concierge Desk Representative Will Work Closely With Other Members Of The Bjc Healthcare Team, Including Physicians, Nurses, And Administrative Staff. As Such, The Ideal Candidate Should Be A Team Player With A Positive Attitude, Strong Interpersonal Skills, And The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Others To Achieve Common Goals.
