Clinical Nurse - Pediatric Operating Room

BJC HealthCare is seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Nurse - Pediatric Operating Room to join our innovative team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients and their families within the operating room setting. To be successful in this role, you must be an organized, detail-oriented individual with demonstrated critical thinking and excellent communication skills. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing quality care and making an impact on the lives of our patients.The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, along with a current Registered Nurse license in Missouri and at least 3 years of pediatric operating room experience. Additional qualifications include knowledge of current patient care concepts and practices as well as the ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team. Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients and their families in the operating room setting.
2. Utilize critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and develop appropriate care plans.
3. Communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.
4. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies to patients.
5. Monitor patient conditions and document progress in patient records.
6. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in the operating room.
7. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to patient care and safety.
8. Educate patients and families about proper care techniques and post-operative instructions.
9. Actively participate in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and other related activities.
