  1. Provide compassionate care to patients experiencing behavioral health crises.
  2. Utilize strong clinical skills to assess and treat patients in crisis.
  3. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  4. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  6. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  7. Advocate for patients' needs and rights, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
  9. Stay current on best practices and advancements in the field of mental health care.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  11. Adhere to all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
  12. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times, promoting a positive and welcoming environment for patients and colleagues.
  13. Provide support and guidance to patients and their families during and after treatment.
  14. Collaborate with community resources and organizations to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.
  15. Continuously assess and address potential safety risks for patients and staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Clinical Nurse - Behavioral Assessment Response Team Role At Bjc Healthcare Requires A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory And Practice To Effectively Assess And Respond To Behavioral Health Issues.

  • Current Rn Licensure: The Candidate Must Possess A Current And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Missouri. This Demonstrates The Individual's Competency And Ability To Practice Nursing Within The State's Regulations And Guidelines.

  • Experience In Behavioral Health: Bjc Healthcare Seeks Candidates With At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Behavioral Health Setting. This Could Include Working In A Psychiatric Hospital, Mental Health Clinic, Or Substance Abuse Treatment Facility. This Experience Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Effectively Assess And Respond To Behavioral Health Concerns.

  • Crisis Intervention Training: The Clinical Nurse - Behavioral Assessment Response Team Is Responsible For Responding To Emergency Situations And Providing Immediate Crisis Intervention. Therefore, Candidates Must Have Completed Training In Crisis Intervention Techniques, Such As De-Escalation And Conflict Resolution.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In A Role That Involves Working With Individuals Experiencing Behavioral Health Issues. The Candidate Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Build Rapport With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals, And To Effectively Collaborate In Providing Patient Care.
