  1. Perform laboratory procedures related to in vitro fertilization (IVF) and embryo development, including oocyte retrieval, sperm preparation, fertilization, and embryo culture.
  2. Conduct quality control and assurance measures to ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
  3. Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning.
  4. Collaborate with reproductive endocrinologists and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate treatment plans for patients.
  5. Perform genetic testing on embryos and provide accurate and timely results to physicians and patients.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all laboratory procedures and results.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  8. Stay updated on advancements and developments in the field of reproductive biology and embryology and implement new techniques and procedures as necessary.
  9. Train and supervise laboratory staff, including embryology assistants and technicians.
  10. Participate in research projects and clinical trials related to reproductive health.
  11. Provide support and guidance to patients throughout the IVF process, including explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
  12. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times and adhere to ethical standards set by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).
  13. Collaborate with laboratory and clinical staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  14. Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines, including those set by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
  15. Represent the organization in a professional and compassionate manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Biological Sciences Or Related Field.

  • Certification By The American Board Of Bioanalysis (Abb) As A Clinical Laboratory Specialist In Embryology.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Clinical Embryology Experience In A High Volume In Vitro Fertilization (Ivf) Laboratory Setting.

  • Experience With Advanced Techniques Such As Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (Icsi) And Embryo Biopsy For Preimplantation Genetic Testing (Pgt).

  • Knowledge Of And Adherence To Regulatory Requirements And Quality Control Standards For Clinical Embryology Laboratories, Such As Those Set By The College Of American Pathologists (Cap) And The Centers For Medicare And Medicaid Services (Cms).
