As a Cash Posting Representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate posting of payments and adjustments to patient accounts. Our ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong communication skills, and has a minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare cash posting.   1. Accurately post payments and adjustments to patient accounts in a timely manner.
  2. Ensure all payments are allocated to the correct patient accounts and applied correctly.
  3. Verify and reconcile payment information to ensure accuracy.
  4. Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to cash posting.
  5. Maintain organized and detailed records of all cash posting activities.
  6. Work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment to meet daily deadlines.
  7. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as relevant healthcare regulations.
  8. Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements for more efficient cash posting.
  9. Attend training and development sessions to stay updated on industry changes and best practices.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and colleagues, addressing any concerns or inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  11. Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  12. Serve as a positive representative of BJC HealthCare, promoting our mission and values to patients and stakeholders.
  13. Continuously strive to meet and exceed performance goals and metrics.
  14. Stay up-to-date on insurance plans, policies, and procedures to accurately post payments according to their guidelines.
  15. Complete other related duties and projects as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience With Medical Billing And Payment Posting: A Cash Posting Representative At Bjc Healthcare Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Medical Billing Processes And Payment Posting Procedures.

  • Strong Attention To Detail: Cash Posting Representatives Are Responsible For Accurately Recording And Reconciling Payments Received From Various Sources. Therefore, This Role Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail And The Ability To Identify And Correct Any Discrepancies In Payment Information.

  • Proficiency In Relevant Software And Systems: Bjc Healthcare Uses Various Billing And Payment Processing Software, Such As Epic And Meditech. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience And Proficiency In Using These Systems, As Well As A Strong Aptitude For Learning New Software.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Compliance: Cash Posting Representatives Must Adhere To Strict Healthcare Regulations And Compliance Guidelines When Handling Sensitive Payment Information. A Strong Understanding Of Hipaa Regulations, As Well As Other Relevant Laws And Guidelines, Is Necessary For This Role.

  • Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills: The Cash Posting Representative Will Work Closely With Other Members Of The Billing And Finance Team, As Well As Patients And Insurance Providers. Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For Effectively Communicating Payment Information And Resolving Any Issues That May Arise.
