- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care to patients.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, assess for any changes in condition, and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed by the supervising physician.
- Educate patients and their families about the surgical process, potential complications, and post-operative care.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies, to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Communicate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to patient care.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.

Bls, Acls, And Pals Certifications.
Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Current Registered Nurse (Rn) And Nurse Practitioner (Np) Licenses In The State Of Missouri.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Nurse Practitioner In A Cardiothoracic Surgery Setting.
Certification As A Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner (Acnpc) Or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Agacnp) Through The American Association Of Critical-Care Nurses (Aacn).
