  1. Assist in providing exceptional patient care in the Cardiothoracic ICU by performing tasks such as taking vital signs, monitoring patient status, and assisting with daily living activities.
  2. Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients.
  3. Administer medication and treatments as directed by licensed healthcare professionals.
  4. Monitor and report any changes in patient conditions to the appropriate healthcare team members.
  5. Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes for patients.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
  7. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during challenging times.
  8. Follow all infection control and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of Cardiothoracic ICU care.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to maintain a high standard of patient care.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  12. Use effective communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  13. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing any concerns or needs that may arise.
  14. Assist with the transportation of patients to and from procedures or tests.
  15. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or Medical Assistant (Ma) Certification.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In A Hospital Setting, Preferably In A Critical Care Or Intensive Care Unit.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Cardiothoracic Patient Care And Procedures, As Well As Experience With Various Medical Equipment Such As Ventilators And Cardiac Monitors.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Work Well Under Pressure And In A Fast-Paced Environment.
