- Perform Noninvasive Ultrasound Procedures: Conduct diagnostic tests using ultrasound equipment to produce images of patients' hearts and surrounding structures.
- Collaborate with Medical Team: Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate ultrasound exams needed for patients and provide accurate and timely results.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Document and maintain accurate records of ultrasound images, patient information, and test results to ensure proper patient care and billing.
- Ensure Quality Control: Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on ultrasound equipment to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
- Comfort and Reassure Patients: Communicate with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and alleviate any fears or concerns they may have.
- Adhere to Safety Protocols: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to protect patients and staff from potential hazards associated with ultrasound equipment.
- Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in cardiac sonography to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in Training and Development: Attend training and educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in cardiac sonography.
- Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and their families by providing a welcoming and comfortable environment during procedures.
- Manage Equipment and Supplies: Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure an adequate supply of equipment and materials for ultrasound procedures.
- Adhere to Department Policies and Procedures: Follow department policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the smooth operation of the cardiac sonography department.
- Collaborate with Insurance Companies: Work with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations for tests and procedures and ensure proper billing.
- Prioritize and Manage Workload: Prioritize and manage workload to ensure timely and efficient completion of ultrasound exams and procedures.

Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field From An Accredited Program
Ardms (American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography) Certification In Adult Echocardiography
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Performing Cardiac Ultrasound Procedures
Knowledge Of Cardiac Anatomy, Physiology, And Pathophysiology
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
