
Cardiac ICU Assistant Nurse Manager

- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the Cardiac ICU unit, ensuring that all patient care needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Supervise and mentor a team of nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care and staff development.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans and treatment protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to any changes in condition, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Ensure that all nursing staff adhere to BJC HealthCare's policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Manage staffing levels and make adjustments as needed to ensure adequate coverage and patient safety.
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new nursing staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and related activities.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices for cardiac care.
- Serve as a patient advocate and address any patient or family concerns or complaints.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in cardiac care and share knowledge and skills with the team.
- Collaborate with other departments and disciplines to ensure seamless coordination of care for patients.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Act as a role model for professional behavior and promote a positive work culture within the Cardiac ICU unit.
Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree From An Accredited Institution.
Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Missouri.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Cardiac Icu Setting.
Previous Leadership Experience, Preferably As A Charge Nurse Or Assistant Nurse Manager.
Bls And Acls Certifications Required, With Additional Certifications Such As Ccrn Or Cnml Preferred.
