We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiac ICU Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team. As an integral member of our Cardiac ICU team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our critically ill cardiac patients.   1. Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the Cardiac ICU unit, ensuring that all patient care needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Supervise and mentor a team of nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care and staff development.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans and treatment protocols.
  4. Monitor patient progress and respond to any changes in condition, adjusting care plans as necessary.
  5. Ensure that all nursing staff adhere to BJC HealthCare's policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  6. Manage staffing levels and make adjustments as needed to ensure adequate coverage and patient safety.
  7. Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new nursing staff.
  8. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to nursing staff.
  9. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and related activities.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices for cardiac care.
  11. Serve as a patient advocate and address any patient or family concerns or complaints.
  12. Keep up-to-date with advancements in cardiac care and share knowledge and skills with the team.
  13. Collaborate with other departments and disciplines to ensure seamless coordination of care for patients.
  14. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  15. Act as a role model for professional behavior and promote a positive work culture within the Cardiac ICU unit.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Missouri.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Cardiac Icu Setting.

  • Previous Leadership Experience, Preferably As A Charge Nurse Or Assistant Nurse Manager.

  • Bls And Acls Certifications Required, With Additional Certifications Such As Ccrn Or Cnml Preferred.
