- Provide compassionate care to patients with cardiac conditions in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and procedures on patients, including cardiac catheterization and angiograms.
- Administer medications and monitor patients' vital signs during procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families about cardiac conditions, procedures, and post-procedure care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Ensure safe and sanitary working conditions in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
- Monitor and respond to changes in patients' conditions and report any concerns to physicians.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in cardiac care and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor, even in high-stress situations.
- Serve as a patient advocate and ensure that patients' needs are met and their rights are respected.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve nursing skills.
- Act as a resource and mentor for other nursing staff in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Active Rn License: Candidates For This Position Must Hold A Current, Unrestricted Rn License In The State Of Missouri.
Bls And Acls Certification: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certifications From The American Heart Association.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Cath Lab Experience: Bjc Healthcare Is Seeking A Candidate With At Least Two Years Of Experience Working In A Cath Lab Setting.
Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills: The Cardiac Cath Lab Rn Must Be Able To Think Quickly And Make Critical Decisions During Procedures, As Well As Troubleshoot Any Issues That May Arise.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: The Cath Lab Operates At A Fast Pace, So Candidates Should Be Able To Thrive In A Busy And High-Stress Environment While Maintaining A Calm And Professional Demeanor.
