  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with medical equipment, utilizing knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles.
  3. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed, as well as documentation of equipment usage and inventory.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective resolution of equipment issues.
  5. Stay up-to-date on new technologies and advancements in the biomedical field, and make recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements as needed.
  6. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols when working with medical equipment.
  7. Monitor equipment performance and identify potential problems to prevent downtime and ensure patient safety.
  8. Respond to emergency equipment failures and provide timely and effective solutions.
  9. Train and mentor other technicians, as needed.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work area, and properly dispose of hazardous materials.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operation of equipment.
  12. Participate in department meetings and provide input on ways to improve processes and procedures.
  13. Uphold the mission and values of BJC HealthCare and promote a positive work environment.
  14. Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff, addressing any concerns or questions in a professional and timely manner.
  15. Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Biomedical Engineering Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Biomedical Technology

  • Knowledge Of Medical Equipment Mechanics And Electronics

  • Familiarity With Regulatory Requirements And Safety Standards For Medical Equipment

  • Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And In A Team Environment.
