Billing Specialist

BJC HealthCare is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, as well as strong proficiency in accounting software and other computer applications. We are looking for someone who can maintain accurate records, process payments, and work effectively with patients and insurance companies. A Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is also preferred. Responsibilities:

1. Communicate effectively with patients and insurance companies to ensure accurate billing.
2. Process payments and maintain accurate records of payments.
3. Utilize computer applications, such as accounting software, to efficiently manage billing processes.
4. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to healthcare billing.
5. Work independently and as part of a team in a customer-service oriented environment.
6. Provide support to other departments as needed.
7. Remain up-to-date on changes in healthcare billing and coding regulations.
8. Develop and implement effective policies and procedures related to healthcare billing.
9. Assist in resolving billing-related issues.
10. Generate financial reports related to billing.
