Art Therapist

At BJC HealthCare, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Art Therapist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in helping people cope with and understand their emotions through art. We are looking for an individual who is creative, energetic, and motivated to provide meaningful art therapy sessions.The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in Art Therapy or an equivalent field and be registered, or eligible for registration, as an Art Therapist with the American Art Therapy Association. Experience in working with individuals and groups with diverse backgrounds and a variety of mental health issues is preferred.We believe that art therapy is an incredibly powerful form of therapy that can help people to express their emotions and make sense of their experiences. Responsibilities:

1. Provide individual and group art therapy sessions for clients with diverse backgrounds and a variety of mental health issues.
2. Create and implement individualized art therapy treatment plans for clients.
3. Evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
4. Facilitate art therapy activities to help clients express their emotions and make sense of their experiences.
5. Collaborate with other mental health professionals to provide the best possible care for clients.
6. Attend and participate in team meetings and other professional development activities.
7. Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
8. Adhere to all applicable ethical and legal standards.
