
Sr. Kitchen Manager
BJ's Restaurants is seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Kitchen Manager to join our kitchen team. We're looking for an innovative leader who is passionate about food and cooking and able to manage a large kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading and mentoring a team, as well as a strong understanding of all aspects of kitchen operations.The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have an eye for detail, and have excellent communication skills. He or she must possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in a high-volume restaurant kitchen, preferably in a management position. A background in culinary arts or a degree in hospitality management is preferred but not required. The Sr. Kitchen Manager must be organized, efficient, and possess the ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities. Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a large kitchen staff, ensuring that all staff members are properly trained and adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols.
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including ordering and inventory management, kitchen scheduling, and food preparation.
- Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation to ensure restaurant standards are met.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
- Create and implement innovative menu items and recipes to keep the restaurant competitive and profitable.
- Monitor food and labor costs to ensure optimal profitability.
- Communicate effectively with other restaurant staff and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Implement and enforce safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current culinary trends.
