  1. Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure the highest level of quality and consistency in every dish served.
  2. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for food preparation and cooking techniques.
  3. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  4. Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain a high level of performance and job satisfaction.
  5. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and food sanitation standards.
  6. Collaborate with the General Manager and Front of House Manager to create and update menu offerings.
  7. Monitor food costs and make adjustments to menu items and portion sizes as needed to maintain profitability.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen to create a safe and efficient work environment.
  9. Conduct regular kitchen inspections to identify and address any maintenance or equipment issues.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into menu offerings.
  11. Handle and resolve any customer complaints or concerns related to food quality or service.
  12. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of food and kitchen supplies.
  13. Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  14. Create and maintain schedules for kitchen staff to ensure proper staffing levels and efficient use of labor.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve kitchen processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Culinary Experience: A Senior Kitchen Manager At Bj's Restaurants Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In A High-Volume Kitchen, With A Strong Background In Menu Development, Food Preparation, And Kitchen Management.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Managing A Team Of Kitchen Staff, Including Hiring, Training, And Scheduling. They Should Also Have Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills To Effectively Lead And Motivate Their Team.

  • Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation: A Senior Kitchen Manager At Bj's Restaurants Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Food Safety Regulations And Best Practices To Maintain A Clean And Safe Kitchen Environment.

  • Menu Planning And Cost Control Expertise: This Role Requires Someone With A Keen Understanding Of Food Costs And The Ability To Develop Menus That Are Both Profitable For The Restaurant And Appealing To Guests. Experience With Inventory Management And Cost Control Measures Is Also Important.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: Bj's Restaurants Is A Fast-Paced Environment, And The Senior Kitchen Manager Should Be Able To Handle The Demands Of A Busy Kitchen While Remaining Calm Under Pressure.
