- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with BJ's restaurants' standards and recipes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, including proper storage and labeling of all ingredients.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the highest quality and safety of our dishes.
- Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Communicate effectively with servers and other front-of-house staff to ensure all guest orders are prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
- Keep track of inventory and inform management of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste and maintain cost control.
- Continuously train and develop culinary skills to stay updated on new techniques and menu items.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Assist with kitchen cleaning and closing duties as assigned by management.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including dress code and attendance guidelines.
- Collaborate with management to make suggestions for menu improvements and cost-saving measures.
- Communicate any guest feedback or concerns to management to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Adhere to all safety and health standards to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Culinary Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Line Cook In A Fast-Paced Restaurant Environment.
Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation: The Ability To Follow Proper Food Handling Procedures And Maintain A Clean And Safe Kitchen Is Essential.
Ability To Work In A Team: Line Cooks Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Other Kitchen Staff, Take Direction From The Head Chef, And Work Together To Efficiently Prepare Dishes.
Time Management Skills: Working In A Fast-Paced Restaurant Requires Excellent Time Management Skills To Ensure That Dishes Are Prepared And Served In A Timely Manner.
Flexibility And Adaptability: Line Cooks Must Be Able To Handle A Variety Of Tasks And Be Able To Adjust Quickly To Changing Orders Or Menu Items. The Ability To Work Well Under Pressure Is Also Important.
