Assistant Brewer
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Assistant Brewer at BJ's Restaurants. As an Assistant Brewer, you will play a crucial role in the production and maintenance of our high-quality craft beers. You will work closely with our Head Brewer to ensure the consistency and excellence of our brews. - Assist in all aspects of the brewing process, including milling, mashing, boiling, fermenting, and packaging.
- Maintain an organized and clean brewing area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are sanitized and in proper working condition.
- Follow recipes and instructions from the Head Brewer to ensure consistency and quality of all beers.
- Monitor and record fermentation and carbonation levels to ensure optimal results.
- Closely monitor and adjust brewing parameters such as temperature, pH levels, and gravity.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking of brewing supplies and ingredients.
- Collaborate with the Head Brewer to develop new and innovative beer recipes.
- Conduct quality control tests and make necessary adjustments to maintain high-quality standards.
- Participate in brewery events and represent the company in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and techniques to continuously improve brewing processes.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while handling and working with potentially hazardous materials.
- Train and mentor new team members on brewing techniques and processes.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Brewer or management.
Knowledge Of Brewing Process:
The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Brewing Process And Be Able To Assist With All Aspects Of Beer Production, Including Recipe Development, Ingredient Selection, And Quality Control.
Experience In Brewing Industry:
Previous Experience In A Brewery Or Related Field Is Highly Desired For This Role. Candidates Should Have A Solid Understanding Of The Equipment And Techniques Used In Brewing.
Strong Organizational Skills:
As An Assistant Brewer, You Will Be Responsible For Managing Inventory, Ordering Supplies, And Keeping Detailed Records Of Brewing Activities. Strong Organizational Skills Are Essential To Ensure Efficient And Accurate Operations.
Attention To Detail:
Brewing Beer Requires Precision And Attention To Detail. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Quality Control And Be Able To Spot Any Potential Issues With The Brewing Process.
