Job Description

We are currently seeking an Assistant Brewer to join our team and help us continue our tradition of excellence. As an Assistant Brewer, you will work alongside our experienced team to assist in all aspects of the brewing process, from recipe development to production and packaging. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about craft beer and have a strong desire to learn and grow in the brewing industry.   1. Assist in recipe development, including measuring and weighing ingredients, and following established recipes and procedures.
  2. Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked brewing area.
  3. Operate and maintain brewing equipment, including cleaning and sanitizing as needed.
  4. Assist in the production and packaging of beer, including transferring, filtering, carbonating, and packaging.
  5. Monitor and record fermentation and conditioning processes, including taking samples and performing quality control tests.
  6. Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  7. Communicate effectively with the brewing team, providing updates and reporting any issues or concerns.
  8. Continuously learn and stay up-to-date on new brewing techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
  9. Assist with inventory management and ordering of brewing supplies.
  10. Collaborate with other departments, such as the kitchen and bar, to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of beer production.
  11. Help maintain and promote the brewery's brand and image by providing excellent customer service and representing the company in a positive manner.
  12. Uphold and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude and work ethic at all times.
  14. Assist in other tasks and projects as assigned by the Head Brewer or management.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Brewing Techniques And Processes: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Brewing Techniques And Processes, Including Recipe Development, Ingredient Selection, And Fermentation Management.

  • Brewing Experience: Previous Experience In A Brewing Or Production Environment Is Highly Desirable For This Role. This Includes Experience With Brewhouse Operations, Cellar Work, And Packaging.

  • Attention To Detail: The Assistant Brewer Will Be Responsible For Ensuring The Quality And Consistency Of All Beers Produced. Therefore, Strong Attention To Detail And The Ability To Follow Recipes And Instructions Accurately Is Crucial.

  • Physical Stamina: This Role Requires Physical Stamina And The Ability To Lift Heavy Objects (Up To 50 Lbs). The Assistant Brewer May Also Be Required To Stand For Long Periods And Work In Both Hot And Cold Environments.

  • Team Player: As Part Of A Team, The Assistant Brewer Must Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Other Members Of The Brewing And Restaurant Staff. Good Communication Skills And A Positive Attitude Are Essential For Success In This Role.
