- Assist in the production of high-quality craft beers.
- Follow brewing recipes and techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized brewing area.
- Monitor and record brewing process, including temperature, gravity, and pH levels.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of brewing equipment.
- Collaborate with Head Brewer and team to develop new and innovative beers.
- Communicate any issues or concerns with brewing process to Head Brewer.
- Help with inventory management and ordering of brewing supplies.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Stay current on industry trends and techniques.
- Train and mentor other team members as needed.
- Assist with packaging and labeling of finished products.
- Attend beer festivals and events to represent BJ's Restaurants and promote our beers.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Uphold BJ's Restaurants' standards and values at all times.
Experience In Brewing Operations: A Successful Candidate For The Assistant Brewer Position At Bj's Restaurants Should Have Experience Working In A Brewery, Preferably In A Production Or Assistant Brewer Role. This Experience Will Demonstrate Their Knowledge Of Brewing Equipment, Processes, And Sanitation Procedures.
Knowledge Of Beer Styles And Flavor Profiles: The Assistant Brewer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Different Beer Styles And Flavor Profiles, As Well As The Ability To Identify Off-Flavors. This Knowledge Will Help Them Assist In Recipe Development And Ensure The Brewery Produces High-Quality, Consistent Beers.
Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift Heavy Objects: Brewing Is A Physically Demanding Job That Requires The Assistant Brewer To Lift Heavy Objects And Stand For Long Periods. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.
