- Assist the Head Brewer in all aspects of the brewing process, including but not limited to recipe development, brewing, fermentation, and packaging.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the brewery.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of brewing supplies and ingredients.
- Assist in quality control processes to ensure the production of high-quality, consistent beers.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of brewing activities, including batch logs, inventory, and production reports.
- Collaborate with the brewing team to develop new and unique recipes.
- Help to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the brewing process.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Continuously seek opportunities to learn and improve brewing techniques and processes.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the brewing team.
- Communicate effectively with the Head Brewer and other team members to ensure efficient and effective production.
- Participate in brewery events and promotions, such as beer festivals and tap takeovers.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to those regarding safety, quality, and sanitation.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the brewing team and overall operations of the brewery.
Knowledge Of Brewing Processes: The Assistant Brewer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Brewing Process And Be Able To Assist In All Aspects Of Beer Production, Including Recipe Formulation, Ingredient Selection, And Fermentation.
Experience In A Brewery Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Brewery Or Brewpub Is Essential For This Role. The Assistant Brewer Should Be Familiar With Equipment Operation, Cleaning And Sanitizing Procedures, And Safety Protocols.
Strong Communication Skills: As Part Of A Team, The Assistant Brewer Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Other Brewers, Kitchen Staff, And Management. This Includes Providing Feedback, Sharing Ideas, And Reporting Any Issues Or Concerns.
Attention To Detail: Brewing Beer Involves Precision And Attention To Detail. The Assistant Brewer Must Be Able To Follow Recipes Accurately, Maintain Quality Control, And Troubleshoot Any Issues That May Arise During The Brewing Process.
Physical Stamina And Flexibility: Brewing Beer Is A Physically Demanding Job That Requires Working On Your Feet For Long Periods Of Time, Lifting Heavy Bags Of Ingredients, And Maneuvering Around Equipment. The Assistant Brewer Should Be In Good Physical Condition And Able To Work A Flexible Schedule, Including Nights And Weekends.
