
Director - Employee Relations
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Director - Employee Relations to join BioMarin Pharmaceutical's Human Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact in a successful and growing company. The successful candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of employee relations, performance management, and labor regulations. He/she will be a forward-thinking professional with the ability to apply creative and innovative solutions to complex employee relations issues. This person must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and a commitment to excellence and high standards.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related field.• 7+ years of HR experience in employee relations, labor relations or a related field.• Proven track record of developing and executing successful employee relations strategies.• Knowledge and expertise in local, state and federal labor laws.• Ability to handle a variety of complex employee relations issues.• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures that promote collaboration, trust, and respect in the workplace.
• Investigate and resolve employee relations issues, such as performance management, harassment, and discrimination.
• Develop and maintain relationships with labor unions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal labor laws.
• Provide strategic guidance and advice to managers and supervisors on employee relations matters.
• Monitor employee relations trends, develop new approaches, and update existing policies and processes.
• Lead employee relations training sessions for managers and supervisors.
• Prepare and interpret employee relations data and metrics.
• Create and maintain accurate records on employee relations activities.
• Serve as a resource to employees on employee relations issues.
