Director - Employee Relations

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Director - Employee Relations to join BioMarin Pharmaceutical's Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and a commitment to excellence and high standards.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related field.• 7+ years of HR experience in employee relations, labor relations or a related field.• Proven track record of developing and executing successful employee relations strategies.• Knowledge and expertise in local, state and federal labor laws.• Ability to handle a variety of complex employee relations issues.• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures that promote collaboration, trust, and respect in the workplace.

• Investigate and resolve employee relations issues, such as performance management, harassment, and discrimination.

• Develop and maintain relationships with labor unions.

• Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal labor laws.

• Provide strategic guidance and advice to managers and supervisors on employee relations matters.

• Monitor employee relations trends, develop new approaches, and update existing policies and processes.

• Lead employee relations training sessions for managers and supervisors.

• Prepare and interpret employee relations data and metrics.

• Create and maintain accurate records on employee relations activities.

• Serve as a resource to employees on employee relations issues.
