Director, Global Trade Compliance

Ensure Company’s compliance with export/import laws. Review and develop enhancements to Company’s existing trade compliance programs. Minimize customs duties levied on the Company’s products. Field all trade compliance questions from employees of the Company. Develop, maintain and update documented internal controls and desk operating procedures over trade compliance matters. Provide Strategic guidance on the incorporation of trade compliance requirements into the Company business processes. Oversee freight forwarders’ and other vendors’ compliance with export/import rules. Identify and evaluate opportunities to facilitate trade in a cost-effective and compliant manner (e.g. make use of applicable free trade agreements, trade preference programs, etc.). Provide compliance training to Company personnel as needed. Interact with trade-related government agencies in the United States and abroad. Support the Internal Audit group by identifying areas of potential risk.
