
Director, Africa Health, Global Development
This position will require regular travel to Africa and adjustments on working hours to connect regularly with teams based in different time zones. Summarize, synthesize and share key insights from meetings and engagements in Seattle and provide advice on ways forward. Coordinate high-level visits from African partners in Seattle. Co-manage all Seattle-based full time and temporary staff that are part of the Africa team. Provide a one stop center, play the "concierge function" and connect the dots across all programs in health and nutrition. Provide suggestions to improve the impact of joint programs and to cultivate a "one foundation" engagement in health in Africa. Put in place a platform and framework that facilitates knowledge sharing across African countries. Lead programmatic bodies of work, strategy development, refinement and management to ensure that team goals align with overall foundation strategies.
Experience of integration across disease areas and/or integrating health and other interventions.
At least 15+ years of significant management experience in health and nutrition and health system
Has lived and worked in a developing country, preferably in multiple countries across the African continent
The ability to communicate fluently in French will be an asset.
