PC Repair and Installation Technician

At Best Buy, we are looking for an experienced and motivated PC Repair and Installation Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various computer hardware and software issues, as well as installing new systems and peripherals. The ideal candidate will have excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills and will be able to work independently and as part of a team. A successful PC Repair and Installation Technician will possess a strong technical aptitude and be able to think on their feet to solve customer issues in a timely manner. Required Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum 2 years of experience in PC repair and installation • Advanced knowledge of operating systems and computer hardware • Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to lift and move computer equipment up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities: • Diagnose and repair computer hardware and software issues • Install and configure new computer systems and peripherals • Troubleshoot customer issues in a timely manner • Maintain a high level of customer service • Provide technical support and guidance to customers • Keep detailed records of all repairs and installations • Ensure all equipment is installed and configured properly • Test and monitor computer systems to ensure optimal performance • Follow safety protocols when dealing with hazardous materials • Communicate effectively with customers and team members • Update and maintain repair/installation logs and records
