- Provide strategic legal advice and support to various business units within Best Buy.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify legal risks and develop effective solutions.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on industry regulations and laws.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Manage and oversee external legal counsel on complex legal matters.
- Advise on potential legal implications of business decisions and make recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Best Buy's legal policies and procedures.
- Support the legal team in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in the retail industry and provide proactive legal advice.
- Represent Best Buy in legal proceedings and communicate with government agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance and support the achievement of business objectives.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper handling of sensitive legal and business information.
- Uphold Best Buy's values and ethical standards in all interactions and decisions.
Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School
Active Membership In Good Standing With A State Bar Association
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Corporate Law, Preferably In A Retail Or Consumer Electronics Industry
Strong Understanding Of Regulatory Compliance And Corporate Governance
Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Departments And External Partners.
