  1. Develop and implement comprehensive human resources strategies and initiatives that align with the overall goals and mission of the college.
  2. Create and foster a positive and inclusive work culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  3. Oversee all aspects of talent acquisition, including recruiting, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  4. Provide guidance and support to department heads and supervisors on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  5. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to human resources.
  6. Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and promote career growth.
  7. Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and address organizational needs and challenges related to human resources.
  8. Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  9. Lead efforts to promote employee wellness and work-life balance.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in human resources and make recommendations for improvements and changes as needed.
  11. Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and provide regular updates and reports on the status of human resources initiatives and programs.
  12. Manage and develop a team of HR professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  13. Foster positive relationships with employees at all levels and serve as a resource for their questions and concerns.
  14. Lead diversity and inclusion efforts within the organization, promoting a welcoming and respectful environment for all employees.
  15. Represent the college in all matters related to human resources, both internally and externally.
  16. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to support the college's overall mission and goals.
  17. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and data related to employees, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with all privacy laws and regulations.
  18. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to support the overall success of the college and its employees.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources Management Or Related Field. A Strong Educational Background In Hr Is Essential For A Chief Human Resources Officer (Chro) As They Will Be Responsible For Developing And Implementing Hr Strategies And Policies For The Entire Organization.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Progressive Experience In A Senior Hr Role. The Chro Is A Top-Level Executive Position, And Thus, Candidates Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of All Aspects Of Hr, Including Talent Management, Employee Relations, Compensation, And Benefits, And Organizational Development.

  • Proven Track Record Of Leading Successful Hr Initiatives. The Chro Must Have A Demonstrated History Of Implementing Effective Hr Programs That Align With The Organization's Goals And Drive Employee Engagement, Retention, And Development.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills. As The Head Of The Hr Department, The Chro Must Be An Effective Leader Who Can Motivate And Inspire Their Team To Achieve Objectives. They Must Also Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With All Levels Of The Organization And Handle Sensitive Employee Matters.

  • Knowledge Of Employment Laws And Regulations. The Chro Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Laws And Regulations Related To Employment, Such As Eeoc, Ada, And Fmla, To Ensure Compliance And Mitigate Legal Risks For The Organization.
