- Create visually appealing displays that showcase our products and drive sales.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure products are properly stocked and displayed.
- Train and develop a team of associates to ensure they have a strong understanding of visual merchandising standards.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to set and achieve sales goals and drive business.
- Conduct regular store walkthroughs to ensure visual standards are met and maintained.
- Implement and execute merchandising strategies to optimize sales and profitability.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to make informed decisions about product placement and promotions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure a cohesive and efficient operation.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and competitor strategies to make recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in the hiring, training, and evaluation of team members.

Strong Merchandising Experience: A Successful Assistant Store Manager - Merchandising At Belk Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Visual Merchandising And Product Presentation. This Includes A Strong Understanding Of Current Retail Trends, Effective Use Of Space, And Knowledge Of Different Product Categories.
Leadership Skills: As An Assistant Store Manager, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Managing And Leading A Team Of Merchandisers. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate, Delegate Tasks, And Provide Constructive Feedback.
Attention To Detail: Merchandising Is All About The Details, And A Successful Assistant Store Manager Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail. This Includes Ensuring All Products Are Displayed Correctly, Following Planograms, And Maintaining Visual Standards In The Store.
Excellent Communication Skills: The Assistant Store Manager Will Work Closely With Other Departments, Such As Buying And Planning, To Ensure The Store's Merchandise Is Aligned With Company Goals. Therefore, Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential For This Role.
