Promotion & Markdown Analyst

Provide strategic recommendations, insights, and guidance to merchant partners to deliver on company goals and financial metrics. Partner with the merchants (Category Manager/Planner/Divisional Merchandise Manager) to execute Promotions and Clearance Markdowns appropriate for their areas of business. Participate in business strategy meetings with the merchants and understand overall goals, budgets, strategies, marketing constraints and key operating parameters. Determine optimal, progressive markdown strategies through the end of each product's life. Review actual sales and margin against projections and adjust markdown budget and strategies. Be responsible for analyzing historical promotional data to identify productive and non-productive promotions and make recommendations for promotional opportunities. Enter markdown/promotion/sale activity into pricing systems for execution. Ensure accurate data, including the proofing and releasing of pricing events.
