Item Specialist, Item Management

The Item Specialist supports the item set-up process for new products and contributes to ongoing product data improvement efforts. Performs data input and management for new and existing items within the product data management system (PDM). Screens product data for accuracy based on department business guidelines and enterprise standards. Utilizes logic to analyze data, identifies potential inaccuracies and takes the necessary steps to verify product information prior to submitting items for approval. Troubleshoots questions/concerns from remote item set up team. Performs product data maintenance and clean-up activities. Works with MS Excel spreadsheets and uploads product information to the product data management system. Manages heavy workload with emphasis on accuracy and speed to market. Communicates effectively via email, phone and instant messaging. Works independently and as part of a team.
