Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Intellectual Property Scientist (Breeding) to join our team at Bayer! This exciting opportunity requires a science-minded individual with a demonstrated record of accomplishment in the field of breeding, intellectual property, and plant genetics.The Senior Intellectual Property Scientist (Breeding) role is an important one that requires a combination of technical, scientific, and communication skills. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of intellectual property principles, knowledge of breeding practices, and a passion for plant genetics. You should have the ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of stakeholders, including legal, technical, and corporate partners.This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field. A Master's Degree in a relevant field is also advantageous. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field of plant genetics and breeding is required. You should also have experience with intellectual property registration, portfolio management, and patent prosecution. Previous experience with negotiation and dispute resolution is preferred.We're looking for an individual who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has excellent problem-solving abilities. The successful candidate should also have the ability to work remotely, as well as the ability to build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
