
Quality Data Coordinator - Medical Records

- Maintain accurate and compliant patient records in accordance with industry standards.
- Monitor and review medical records for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Identify and address any discrepancies or errors in patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure proper documentation and coding.
- Analyze data and produce reports to track and monitor the quality of patient records.
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices related to medical records management.
- Train and educate staff on proper record-keeping practices and compliance standards.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure accuracy and consistency in record-keeping.
- Communicate with external agencies and auditors to provide requested information and address any issues.
- Identify areas for improvement in record-keeping processes and make recommendations for enhancements.
- Respond to inquiries and provide support to healthcare providers and staff regarding record-keeping and compliance.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects related to medical records management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of data and record-keeping practices.
- Act as a resource for staff regarding record-keeping policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field.
Certified As A Registered Health Information Technician (Rhit) Or Registered Health Information Administrator (Rhia).
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Coding Systems, And Electronic Health Records.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Experience As A Quality Data Coordinator In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Attention To Detail And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Resolve Data Discrepancies.
