  1. Conduct and interpret sleep studies using specialized equipment and techniques to diagnose sleep disorders accurately.
  2. Monitor patients during sleep studies, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  3. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' sleep patterns, behaviors, and responses during sleep studies.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for patients with sleep disorders.
  5. Educate patients on the importance of proper sleep hygiene and provide them with resources to improve their sleep habits.
  6. Keep up-to-date with advancements in sleep medicine and technology, and incorporate them into daily practices.
  7. Adhere to all safety, infection control, and privacy regulations and protocols.
  8. Troubleshoot and maintain equipment to ensure accurate and efficient sleep studies.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide quality care and address any concerns.
  10. Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families, creating a comfortable and supportive environment.
  11. Collaborate with the billing department to ensure proper coding and billing for sleep studies.
  12. Participate in continuous education and training opportunities to maintain registration and stay current in the field.

Job Qualifications
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (Rpsgt) Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Current Rpsgt Certification From The Board Of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (Brpt).

  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Respiratory Therapy, Nursing, Or Psychology Is Required For This Position.

  • Experience In Polysomnography: Candidates Must Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience As A Polysomnographic Technician, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Sleep Disorders And Treatment: A Deep Understanding Of Various Sleep Disorders, Their Causes, And Treatment Options Is Essential For This Role.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
