- Perform nuclear medicine procedures following established protocols and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functioning and accuracy of results.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and monitor patient reactions.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Monitor patient vital signs and document all pertinent information in patient records.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging procedures and interpret results.
- Educate patients on imaging procedures and address any questions or concerns they may have.
- Adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Continuously evaluate and improve imaging processes to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all procedures, including patient information, images, and results.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and procedures.
- Participate in continuing education and training programs to maintain licensure and enhance skills.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including stocking and ordering necessary supplies.
- Comply with all organizational policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Current Certification As A Nuclear Medicine Technologist By The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Nmtcb) Or American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Nuclear Medicine Technologist In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge And Proficiency In The Use Of Nuclear Medicine Equipment And Imaging Techniques, As Well As Understanding Of Radiation Safety Protocols.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Exceptional Patient Care.
