1. Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures to ensure the safety of patients, healthcare workers, and visitors.
2. Conduct regular infection control assessments and audits to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.

10. Serve as a resource and point of contact for infection control-related inquiries and concerns from staff, patients, and visitors.
11. Monitor and report on the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to infection control protocols.
12. Participate in outbreak investigations and implement control measures to prevent further spread of infections.
13. Prepare and present infection control reports to leadership and regulatory agencies as required.
14. Serve as a liaison between BayCare Health System and local, state, and federal health agencies regarding infection control matters.
15. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to infection control activities.
16. Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to infection control and prevention.
17. Ensure compliance with infection control standards and guidelines set by regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
18. Act as a role model for infection control practices and promote a culture of safety throughout the healthcare system.
19. Mentor and provide guidance to other healthcare workers on infection control practices and protocols.
20. Continuously evaluate and assess infection control practices and make recommendations for improvement.
